What is it about 2am that most newborns find attractive? Is it the attention they receive? There are no good shows on TV during that time. Or do they like to just excercise their lungs while they have the opportunity to really enjoy the noise? No noise competition at that time you know...
Whatever the reason, little Kate really likes to be up for about 3 - 4 hours during the night. I'm hoping it is the 3 week growth spurt my baby book was talking about, and the constant nursing during that time will let up. I'm not sure if my nipples can take much more. (TMI, sorry). Anyway, she's sleeping so peacefully now I thought I would take some pictures and show them to her later to model the appropriate behavior. I don't remember being this tired w/ Lizzy, and I thought I should write it down so I don't forget. I know it doesn't last forever. But knowing that isn't making me less tired at the moment. Well she's waking up now, time to take another trip down the milk lane.
LOL!!! Kate looks so peaceful and sweet while sleeping. I cannot imagine that she would ever keep her Mama up late. Hang in there! One day, you'll look back on this time and miss it. One day. One day.
ReplyDeleteIt's catching on like wildfire!! Kate looks so different than I remember Lizzy looking. I am so sorry for your tiredness. I can imagine that it must be more difficult with 2 kiddos. Love your honesty! (Never too TMI for me!)
